                 HyperMatter is a physically based animation 
                 system that, in essence, allows an animator 
                 to ascribe to objects a sense of 
                 `materiality' or `substance', so that 
                 computer generated objects behave in the 
                 HyperMatter world much how objects behave in 
                 the real world. Indeed, the HyperMatter 
                 system is designed specifically to this end, 
                 to try to invoke in the animator (or viewer) 
                 the belief that the objects they see are 
                 `material' and to allow the animator to 
                 apply to objects the same sorts of 
                 intuitions that he or she would normally 
                 apply to physical objects in the real world.

                 HyperMatter for Maya plug-in is OPLÆs first 
                 end-under product, after having recently 
                 completed development, fine-tuning and 
                 documenting of its core HyperMatter 
                 software. 

                 OPL's design philosophy dictates precision, 
                 simplicity and clarity. No effort has been 
                 spared making the animatorÆs task of using 
                 HyperMatter as intuitive and rewarding as 
                 possible. Maya animators will be able to 
                 quickly and easily take full advantage of 
                 HyperMatterÆs vast reservoir of uses and 
                 effects.

                 The HyperMatter For Maya plug-in consists of 
                 a library of MEL commands and UI-tools that 
                 enable the creation, display, manipulation 
                 and control of (physically-based) 
                 HyperMatter objects, and which handle the 
                 relation between these and associated Maya 
                 geometry.
