▒ Well.....I obviously didn't take the time to type out ALL the data ▒
▒ for EVERY card in Magic. I had to "borrow" card lists from Wizards of ▒
▒ the Coast. Anyone can download them of Wizards of the Coast site. ▒
▒ Unfortunately, they are littered with spelling, grammatical, ▒
▒ syntactical and other mistakes and typos, as well as many ▒
▒ inconsistencies. As I wrote this program however, my program was kind ▒
▒ enough to search out and correct these mistakes... with my help ▒
▒ ofcourse. ;-) ▒
▒ In other words, I had to create a program that would use these FLAWED ▒
▒ data files created and provided by someone else (Wizards of the ▒
▒ Coast). Most of my time was actually spent correcting small errors ▒
▒ and "tweaking" these data files so that CMD could read them correctly ▒
▒ and provide accurate and concise information. ▒
▒ As for the card pricing features, the price lists used by CMD can be ▒
▒ downloaded from ▒
▒ http://www.claymore.nu/magicprices/lists/current-magic. I don't ▒
▒ actually make the raw price data myself, I just use the price list ▒
▒ provided at this site. One of my main reasons for choosing this site ▒
▒ (and price list) for use with CMD is because the price list here is ▒
▒ update almost DAILY! CMD users can download and import the latest ▒
▒ card prices whenever they wish. Sorry, but I've only included ▒
▒ non-foil card prices in CMD. If there is enough demand for it, I ▒
▒ might add it in another version of CMD. Also, cards that have been ▒
▒ reprinted in multiple sets will have "approximated" prices attached ▒
▒ to them. For the most part, the raw price data that CMD uses, doesn't ▒
▒ take reprints (ie. different sets) into account. This usually causes ▒
▒ a very very small deviation from the actual price. The only really ▒
▒ large deviations are in "expensive cards" such as Black Lotus. An ▒
▒ Apha Black Lotus is significantly different in price from a Beta ▒
▒ Black Lotus. My point is that these prices are usually very very ▒
▒ close, except for the really expensive ones ▒
