      Browsegate V3 incorporates the following :
      
      A DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) Server which will configure
      client machines when they start up.
      
      A DNS Server, which will provide the corresponding IP address for any
      internet site (eg www.netcplus.com)
      
      A Web (HTTP) Proxy which will fetch (and store, or cache) Web pages.
      
      A SOCKS (Version 5) Server, used mainly for Instant Messaging and 'Chat'
      applications, which would otherwise have difficulties working properly
      from within a private network.
      
      NAT (Network Address Translation), providing connectivity to the
      internet to client ('inboard') computers for a variety of services.
      
      A Firewall, to prevent unwanted access into the network.
      
      All except NAT can be disabled (the Firewall only by removing all rules),
      though in practice this would only be necessary if you wanted to run
      other software on the same computer to provide these services instead of
      Browsegate.
